The plentiful of umami flavour makes it the most popular sauce being used in various cooking method such as, steaming, braising, stir-frying... Always use alongside with light and dark soy sauce. Try this in your next stir fry with 2 tsp light soy sauce, 1 tsp dark soy sauce, 2 tsp sesame oil. This combination completes a delicious Chinese flavour.
